Job Description:
Responsibilities :
1. Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and other project documentation to assure quality of the products and tests to be developed; i.e., perform manual static testing.
2. Use risk-driven techniques to develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for various Software products.
3. Work with the Development team to capture and reuse automated Unit Test Cases, Test Stubs and Drivers, and other Development test objects.
4. Participate in the Change Control Board to identify the quality implications of known bugs and the impact of proposed changes to product definition on the testing process.
5. Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments used.
6. Provide timely accurate effort estimate and progress status to Lab project manager in order to create deterministic project planning.
7. Research and document bug reports following agreed-upon processes immediately upon discovery of a quality problem.
8. Provide the Test Manager with accurate and precise estimates for assigned task duration, along with confidence levels and foreseeable dependencies.
9. Assist the Test Manager in preparing test plans, budgets, and schedules.
10. Ensure IPs packaging and documentation to enable their leverage.
Skills Required :
1. Minimum 2 years of experience in Telecom Protocol (MAP/ISUP/TCAP) Testing
2. Minimum 1 year of experience in test automation using HP Quality Centre.
3. Experience in STLC, Defect Life Cycle and thorough understanding of SDLC.
4. Hands on experience in test planning, Test case design, scripting
5. Good Analytical Ability
6. Exposure to HLR, HSS would be added advantage.
7. Strong interest and experience in SW Engineering practices and tools.
8. High-level of engagement, willingness & Drive to make things happen.
9. Need to be a cohesive tem player with ability to interface with diverse and globally distributed team in cross-cultural development activities.
10. Scrum and Agile methodology experience is a plus.
